Maisy's Prayer

It was Maisy's turn for the Class Prayer Book.
Each child has to take a turn at writing and illustrating a prayer
of their own which they then read out in class the next day.

Here's what she wrote...

The Mission Cup

Maisy was awarded the school's Mission Cup.
It's given to children who are seen to be
living out the school's mission statement:

“To walk hand in hand with God, loving him,
loving each other and loving ourselves,
doing our best with the gifts he gave us
to make the world a richer place.”

and she does make our world a richer place.

We'll Miss This Garden...

We'll miss this garden
and these wee birds.

Big Changes

Each time we come Home there are changes
small changes and big changes.
Flats have been flattened.
TRAMS are running in Edinburgh.
Streets have smartened up
and everywhere, buildings once so familiar
have been demolished, and rebuilt
leaving us wondering, 'What was there before?'

Wirksworth Festival 2014

Wirksworth Festival is a rural arts festival where over a two week period
in the town of Wirksworth, artists, musicians and performers
exhibit in every conceivable space in the town; houses, historic buildings,
churches, shop windows, gardens, pubs and public spaces.

We went to see the festival finale on the final weekend of the Festival,
a performance of: A Rainbow in Silk: Colourful Tales from the Silk Road,
a celebration which involved the whole of the town's creative community
(and Molly, Maisy and Delilah.)
